Colin Meads, who played 55 test matches from 1957 until 1971 for the New Zealand All Blacks, has today kicked a rugby football. The event took place on a paddock near Maungateikitiekie.


"Excuse me, Mr Meads, are you here to kick the rugby football?
"Of course I am you stupid prick."



Meads, pictured here in studied preparation and seemingly just about to kick the rugby football.

Meads, who represented the King Country in 712 first-class matches, is said to be pleased with the kick.

"In summary, I am pleased with the kick."
